At present, the production process of sweet potato starch in China is mainly based on the acid slurry method. In recent years, it has gradually transitioned to the physical extraction cyclone method. In the past the quality of sweet potato starch produced is generally not high, the hygiene indicators, purity, and consumptions are difficult to meet foreign standards. As a result, most sweet potato starch production enterprises face difficulties in exporting, and their products are in the middle and low end, with low added value.

Based on the actual situation in China, our company designed new sweet potato starch production system. Considering the high sugar content and heavy pectin of sweet potatoes, which seriously affect the screening effect, we optimized the sieving system. The quality of starch produced is at the same level as European products.

Native starch is a natural biological product, extracted and refined from plants such as potato, cassava, corn or wheat. These native starches already have different properties that make them suitable for different applications. Native starches are generally not used in native form. For example, starch is insoluble in water and therefore requires special cooking. Or in a certain food application, a special taste or texture is required, special reagents and ingredients need to be added, and the mixture is heated and stirred. Based on these starches, various applications of glucose/fructose as a sweetener or food ingredient such as noodles or soups can be used for industrial purposes such as glue, textile sizing, or in food.
