    Steel Silo is a traditional storage facility that can store various grains such as corn, wheat, beans, etc., and can also be used to store other agricultural products and items. It is widely used in fields such as grain, feed, food, brewing, oil and fat, building materials, chemicals, electricity, environmental protection, waste water treatment, ports, etc.

     

    Steel Silo system mainly includes:

     

    1. Steel silo: The main structure of the system

    1) Silo roof: The radiation beam and temperature measuring beam are made of C-shaped steel, and the cover plate is made of 1mm hot-dip galvanized sheet. There are natural ventilation windows, upper manholes, ladders, and axial flow induced draft fans on it, sealed with aviation adhesive and waterproof gaskets, and safety guardrails are installed around the silo eaves.

    2) Main body: The thickness of the wall panel is (1.5-5.0) mm, and the material is high-quality hot-dip galvanized sheet with a galvanized layer greater than 275g/. The seams of the panel are sealed with aviation waterproof adhesive strips. The entire main body is assembled with 4.8 grade ordinary bolts and 8.8-10.9 grade high-strength bolts, and spherical waterproof washers are installed. Vertical ladders are installed inside and outside the silo, and a silo door is provided at the lower part of the silo body.

    3) Column inside the silo wall: The inner wall of the silo is equipped with vertical reinforcement bars from top to bottom, with a spacing of 0.96m, using (3-8mm) Z-shaped steel. The main function is to increase the seismic resistance, lateral resistance, and vertical load resistance of the silo, and to enhance its vertical stability; The columns are connected to the silo wall using high-strength bolts without any welding points, thus avoiding the problem of corrosion on the silo wall due to welding.

     

    2. Bucket elevator

    Mainly used for vertical transportation of raw grains in industries such as grain and oil, feed, starch, etc., it has the advantages of compact structure, small footprint, good appearance design, reliable performance, smooth operation, good sealing, low noise, high yield, low reflux, and low failure.

     

    3. Buried scraper conveyor

    Mainly used for transporting raw materials in industries such as grain and oil processing, silos, docks, feed, starch, etc. This machine has a small size, high conveying efficiency, and a new waterproof sealing cover plate that can work in rainy days. The structure is reasonable and simple, easy to maintain, consumes less electricity, and can be started with a load.

     

    4. Silo supporting system

    1) Corridor and derrick

    The tower is prefabricated, and the corridor is a welded structure, which is overall sturdy, durable, and stable; The platform is covered with anti slip steel plates and equipped with protective railings for easy maintenance, safety, and reliability. The size of the tower can be selected according to the specifications of the hoist, and there is a surrounding steel staircase inside the tower.

    2) Grain monitoring system

    Due to the different moisture and temperature of the materials in the grain silo, as well as the impact of pests and fungi, the temperature of the materials in the silo may change over time, leading to an increase in grain temperature and spoilage. According to the needs, a three-dimensional temperature measurement system can be configured in the grain silo, mainly composed of temperature measurement cables, temperature sensors, etc., which are connected to the indoor host through communication cables.

    3) Ventilation system

    The ventilation system of the silo is generally determined based on the purpose of the silo (transfer silo, storage silo) and the properties of the materials, or according to the requirements of the user. It is composed of a circular ventilation duct, a ventilation screen plate, and a centrifugal fan set inside the foundation. The top of the silo is equipped with natural ventilation holes and axial flow induced draft fans. Ventilation can effectively reduce the temperature and humidity inside the silo, and inhibit the occurrence of mold and pests. Due to different discharge methods of the silo, the ventilation system configuration inside the silo is also different, and fluidized discharge can have both ventilation functions; When the high-pressure fan under the silo is working, it presses the ambient temperature air into the silo, and the air runs upward through the gaps between the materials, taking away the grain temperature and moisture. The induced draft fan on the silo generates negative pressure to extract the rising high-temperature and humid gases, which can effectively prevent the grain layer from arching and the silo wall from condensing.

    4) Dust removal system

    The main dust sources are: transfer points of conveying equipment, cleaning screens, material inlet ports, etc. Dust removal measures: Single stage dust removal is adopted, with a set of dust removal devices installed in each process of entering and exiting the silo. The dust collection port is located at the dust source to meet environmental protection requirements, and is generally set according to the needs of the client.
